Jay NY is right in the heart of the Adirondacks. Don’t believe it? The fact that Jay is less than an hour from Lake Placid, Whiteface Mountain, Lake Champlain, Plattsburgh, Saranac Lake, and Fort Ticonderoga certainly backs that up. It’s location and wonderful scenic lodging facilities make Jay an ideal place to call ‘Home’ on your next vacation to the Adirondacks. While visiting Jay, make sure you stop by what is known as ‘The Covered Bridge.’ It’s the only publicly owned one in the Adirondack region. ‘The Covered Bridge’ is only part of the culture and history that Jay is known for. There are plenty of attractions to see on your trip, as well as a number of craft shops to stop into and bring home a souvenir. If you are coming through Jay during the Summer months, schedule a Saturday night in town. They host a great free Summer concert series for some terrific music, refreshments and mingling. |
